PayPal has announced the acquisition of CyActive, an Israeli malware detection firm and according to TechCrunch, they are also planning on starting a security hub in the country. This is the second acquisition in a week by the online payment giant as they recently acquired mobile wallet company Paydiant in a deal worth about $300 million.
CyActive is a start-up and has not really developed much products commercially but a deal with PayPal seems to simply broaden their horizon as well as that of Paypal...after all that is the basis of acquisitions ALWAYS.
