Bitsoko
is a mobile wallet and merchant POS system that uses Blockchain
technology to lower the costs of making payments and sending money peer
to peer. According to founder Daniel Bloch, the service differs from other payment solutions in that it offers an array of services to merchants including payment options,
analytics, customer loyalty, and payroll solutions that provide a more
complete product than any of its competitors.
DEMO Africa is not really Bitsoko's lauchpad as it was recipient of a Grand Challenges Explorations Grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
